Our Beliefs
Our beliefs as a church are shaped singularly by the Word of God, which is our absolute standard for life and doctrine. We hold the truths of Scripture above our opinions. In all our beliefs we seek to be unified as a community of Jesus followers in both essential and none-essential doctrines. Below is a summary of our essential beliefs, guided and rooted in Scripture.
-
God
We believe in one true God, the Creator of all things (Gen. 1:1). Before time began, God was and will be ad-infinitum. This God exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and He presides over both the visible, and invisible world as its supreme head (Col. 1:16). The world and all the heavens are the works of an intelligent, and personal Creator who made man in his own image and likeness (Gen. 1:27). God is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. There are no limitations to His person, power or reach (Jos. 1:5, Jer. 23:23-24, Heb. 13:5). A God like this is worthy of all worship, all praise and all glory.

The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired and only infallible authoritative Word of God. It is without error for its author is God. The Bible’s credibility rests on God’s character, which is holy and without error (1 Jn. 1:5, Num. 23:17, Ps. 92:15). Further, not only are the ideas of Scripture from God, but every chosen word is from God, and conveys His rightful authority. Therefore the Bible is our final authority in all matters of life and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:16, 17).

Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (Isaiah 43:10, John .1:1, 1 Thessalonians 4:14) The death of Jesus was a penal substitution for the sins of humanity (Is 53:5–6; Mk 10:45; Gal 3:13; 1 Pet 2:24). He died, for all, but only those who believe in Him receive eternal life (Jn. 3:16).

Sin & Salvation
We believe that God made man to know Him, love him and seek Him as their ultimate good (Acts 17:27-28). Although man was made to co-rule with God over His creation, man fell into sin through disobedience and this sin of Adam has been passed to all humans (Rom. 5:12). Therefore all have sinned. This means lost sinful man must be regenerated by the Holy Spirit to retain his righteousness lost in Adam (John 6:63, Titus 3:5-6, 1 Peter 1:23). Through the death of Jesus God wipes away all sin, guilt and shame and returns sinful people to their Holy Creator, clothed in the righteousness of Jesus. ( 2 Cor. 5:21)

The Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling believers are equipped to live a godly life and by whose conviction lost sinners are brought to faith in Jesus (Romans.8:9, John 3:2-5, 1 Peter 1:3). The Holy Spirit empowers believers, glorifies Jesus, convicts and regenerates sinners and assures all who believe in Jesus of their eternal salvation, and equips the church to fulfill the mission of Jesus for the ages (Matt. 28:18-20). Through the Holy Spirit all who are baptized are made joint heirs with Christ and members of God's family (Rom. 8:17, Eph. 4:4-6).
-
The Resurrection
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
(Romans 6:5, 1 Corinthians 15:26-27, 54-57)

Community
These beliefs shape our understanding as a community of Jesus lovers. Because of Jesus we aspire to be a people of compassion, love, hope, joy, and generosity.
From this, we gather for worship, teaching and fellowship to equip each other to live what we believe as we make disciples of all people. Our purpose is to glorify God in the salvation of sinners as we wait for the glorious return of Jesus back to history when he will reign as king forever ( Matt. 24:30; 25:31-46).
Until then we seek to journey with Jesus, grow deep friendships, and go make disciples, all for God's glory. We invite you to join us.
