On Sunday we met for two Outdoor Services with close to 100 people. There was shade for everyone and the air was clear. At both our services we saw the top half of each other's faces and celebrated baptisms with Malia, Romeo & Nichole. The waters may have been cool, but the warmth of Crosswalk friends and family made it an epic day!
Whether we are meeting as a church family in person or online, we are committed to practicing community and worship. Click here to listen to the online testimonies of those baptized right after Pastor Linda's welcome. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20 (NLT) Our next Outdoor services are scheduled for Sunday, September 13. Online registration will be available NOW on our church website. Click here if you would like to help with Saturday set up. Again, our next live services will be one week from this Sunday!
THIS SUNDAY we are studying Isaiah 49:1-16 together. The message is called, "How to Overcome Disappointment." This is such a practical study because we have all experienced profound disappointments in our lives. One of the lessons we will learn is that it is very possible to be disappointed with life without being disappointed in God. We will also be sharing in the Lord's Supper on this first Sunday of the month, so please have the elements of the bread and cup ready in the sanctuary of your home this weekend.
I know many of us are experiencing "Quarantine Fever." Please be careful this Labor Day weekend as holiday weekends have produced a spike in COVID-19 cases in the past. Let's be cool, be kind, stay safe, and remember we will always have an opportunity to do something beautiful for Jesus.
