Passionately Demonstrating the Love of Jesus

Something Not to Miss

We are entering into a very exciting two weeks where our focus will be where Jesus said it should be, on GOD and on OTHERS.

This is our annual Faith Promise Mission Conference where we celebrate our commitment to reach our community and the world, in word and in deed, with the good news of Jesus.

This Saturday, Feb 20 – It all kicks off with a Men’s Breakfast where our featured speaker is Don Quintana, who is the director of Strategic Partnerships in Northern California for International Justice Mission (IJM). He will be speaking to us about the God of Justice and the need to be men who stand up against injustices in our own homes, neighborhoods, and around the world. This will be a great time of challenge and fellowship!

Work Day – Following the breakfast we will be having a workday to get our campus ready for our mission weeks. This will benefit men interested in obtaining a scholarship for the Men’s Retreat; but it is open to all, men and women, boys and girls alike!

Sign ups continue for this year’s Men’s Retreat which features Jerry Ingalls, our former associate pastor! It is happening March 4-6, check out the sidebar below for more details. If you need assistance or have questions, contact Pastor Angel Hernandez

This Sunday, Feb 21 – This will be a great day at Crosswalk! We will be having a focus on our local mission partners.
Here is a line-up of our featured local partners:

  • Growing Healthy Churches (GHC): Pam Breen
  • City Team: Charles Knuckles, Director of Rescue and Recovery
  • Iglesia Shalom: Jairo and Lourdes Jarmiento
  • Sunnyvale Community Services: Marie Bernard, Executive Director
  • Real Options: Amberlie Ridnour, Community Outreach Manager
  • CIC: Rev. David Robinson, Executive Director
  • Help One Child: Susan Herman
  • Sunnyvale Christian School: Leanna Christie, Principal
  • Refuge: Michael and Chen Duncan
  • CRU – Dan and Deb Goodson

Rev. David Robinson of CIC ministries will motivate us to engage the call locally!

At noon we will feature an ALL CHURCH BBQ! Plan to hang out with us, enjoy interacting with our partners, and celebrate the ministry of which God has blessed us to be a part!

Sunday, Feb 28 – Here we celebrate international missions. Our speaker is a longtime and good friend of Crosswalk, Pastor Jerry Ingalls. Jerry has been blessedly infected with the joy of missions through his time at Crosswalk. He will be challenging us to make a commitment to be the people in mission God created and redeemed us to be! Also featured on this day will be Jocelyn White from IJM.

Again at noon we will have our annualINTERNATIONAL POTLUCK MEAL! This is a highlight each year as we enjoy food from all around the globe courtesy of the international community that is Crosswalk! Bring a dish of your favorite international food to share.

On Feb 28 we will be receiving FAITH PROMISES. For those of you who are new to Crosswalk, a Faith Promise is an agreement between you and God. You promise, by faith, to give a certain amount of money to the cause of local and world missions through Crosswalk. It is a promise you make by faith that God will provide (though a hundred and more possible ways) additional funds into your hands so you can give to missions. In other words, we trust that God will use us as channels to support the greatest endeavor in the history of the world, the spread of the gospel!

Yours in faith,

Pastor John
