Our four-and five-year-olds begin church with their parents as a family, then will be dismissed to the lobby where their teachers will escort them to their classrooms.
The curriculum at Crosswalk does not begin and end with an hour or two on Sundays. Using the resources provided each Sunday, parents are encouraged to engage the material with their children throughout the week to cultivate faith in the lives of the children.
- Explore– Explore stations create space intended for wonder – to pique children’s curiosity and allow them to engage in hands-on experiences as they begin their time of worship.
- Discover– Children move into a large group setting and participate in discovering God’s Word through storytelling, worship and interactive experiences.
- Respond– Children have the opportunity to respond to God and to what they have heard and experienced through His Word. Special attention is given to create space for the Holy Spirit to minister to each child.
- Blessing– A blessing can be a prayer, a scripture, or words of encouragement and guidance. A blessing can be offered in order to ask God’s Spirit to overflow from the child’s life in such a way that blesses others, while it can also be prayed over a child for the purpose of declaring God’s protection, joy or wisdom.
