Favorite accomplishment/project since joining staff?
Establishing a missional Christian culture of grace and truth.

One thing people don’t realize about the staff that they need to know?
We all consider it a tremendous honor to be called to honor God and serve the congregation and community with our lives!

What is your ministry goal?
To encourage and equip and release people to serve God in advancing his Kingdom on earth.

Tell us a story of what you’ve seen God do through your ministry:
Recently someone who had been away for a while came back and said, “It’s been hard being away and it’s good to be back, because Crosswalk changed my life!” I would never get tired of hearing things like that!

Beach or mountains? Beach, definitely

PC or Mac? This is awkward, but I do both! I’m a switch-hitter.

Creative or administrative? Neither, but aim for creative.

Favorite place for a date? Santana Row is a favorite, but Carmel is a real treat for a day trip.

Favorite movie? Braveheart (Favorite Western – The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence)

Favorite book (besides the Bible)?
Many favorites! Most recently The Longest Shot, where God tells a journeyman club pro that he will win the U.S. Open! Destiny of the Republic is also a recent favorite.

What musician are you enjoying most right now?
I’m trying to get into SOJA, because my kids like them so much (“If I could spend the rest of my life with my people, I would do it over and over again!”

What books do you generally suggest to people for reading?
Unbroken (a recent favorite story of faith), anything by C.S. Lewis, The Next Christians by Gabe Lyons, The Reason for God and King’s Cross, by Timothy Keller, and The Case for… series of books by Lee Strobel, and Cost of Discipleship by Bonhoeffer.

What experience stands out to you as the most significantly Spiritual Moment you have had?
My first commitment to follow Jesus with my life, made back in 1969 (It was a very good year!)

We each have been blessed with a purpose in this life, has yours been revealed to you yet?  If so, what is it? To study and teach the word of God

What one thing do you want everyone to know about you?
That Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so!
