Dear Crosswalkers,

According to a recent study, as much as people love money, we love something else even more: security. According to a 2009 survey by the Pew Research Center, 59 percent of U.S. adults prefer a job that offers better security over one that offers higher pay but less stability (33 percent). Researchers insist this value isn’t driven by the current economic crisis, either. A General Social Survey in 1989—a year of economic expansion—produced similar results. We crave security more than success! What we REALLY love is security!

The shocking reality is this: The God who made us calls us to forsake our earthly security for the sake of heavenly security. God calls us to let go of our imaginary securities and embrace the adventure of faith! God calls us to leave our sense of security and follow him on a journey of faith! This Sunday we will focus on the father of all who have faith, a man named Abram. Later, his named was changed to the more familiar Abraham. God called Abram to leave his home, his culture, his roots, his belief system, his country, his security; and to go to a place where he did not know the language and where would forever be a stranger in a strange land. It’s an amazing story of faith! This would be a great Sunday to invite a friend or family member to come and worship with you as we begin to look at the faith of our father Abraham! SEE YOU SUNDAY!

Love in Jesus,

Dear Crosswalkers,

Recently, I came across some great puns regarding romance. At first, they were from the perspective of someone who has been hurt in a relationship. But then there was added the perspective of someone who was optimistic about the relationship. The optimist is in italics.

What happens when you fall in love with:

A chef? (You get buttered up.) Or, how about, “He spices up your life”?

A chauffeur? (You get taken for a ride.) Or, how about, “In his eyes, you take a back seat to no one”?

A gambler? (He cheats on you.) Or, how about, “He bets his Heart on you”?

A telephone operator? (He gives you a phone-y line.) Or, how about, “You always have a special connection”?

A garbage collector? (He dumps you.) Or, how about, “He refuses to let you go”?

A clockmaker? (He two-times you.) Or, how about, “He always makes time for you”?

A pastry cook? (He desserts you.) Or, how about, “He spends all his dough on you”?

A shoe salesman? (He walks all over you.) Or, how about, “Your sole is lifted up”?

An artist? (He gives you the brush.) Or, how about, “He gives you a peaceful, easel feeling”?

A jogger? (He gives you the run-around.) Or, how about, “He’s there for you when you’re run down”?

I hope these were good for a few chuckles. There is a lot in the Scriptures that require perspective. For example, this week we will look at the faith of Noah. From one perspective, the flood was the terrible judgment of God on a depraved human race. From another perspective, it was a demonstration of God’s patience and love for all people and an awesome act of salvation for a man and his family who had discovered the grace of God.

This Sunday we will look at Noah’s faith, and be blessed with a new perspective of the power of faith in the face of adversity. I hope to see you then!

In other Crosswalk news:

This week we are mailing out our mid year giving statements with a full description of our financial situation after 6 months of 2010. When you receive your report, please join me in praying over our financial situation.

Sunday will be the last day to sign up for our Wild Wacky Sports Camp for Kids! Please sign up your elementary age kids and grand-kids, and then join us in prayer that the Lord would honor this Crosswalk Outreach Event!

Some wanted to know the cost of the two facility projects we are hoping to complete this year. Resurfacing our Gym floor will cost $12,000.00. We are waiting on our second bid and will get a third bid before we are able to ascertain the cost of what is a more significant and immediate need: the repair and sealing of our church parking lot. I will keep you informed as more information comes available. We praise God for our church family, and for generous people who care and share!!

Dear Crosswalkers,

Earlier this year, Newsweek magazine featured a story entitled, “Money for Nothing.” Here’s what’s happening in today’s world: Many use Facebook as a way to keep in touch with friends, but there is a growing trend among others who use it to play games that involve virtual pets, virtual wars, virtual farms, etc. The remarkable thing about these games is that a person can buy virtual goods for these games—pets or guns or fertilizer or tools. The kicker is this: They cost real money! Now of course these items don’t actually exist! They are just little computer pictures from little pixilated stores. So the player sends real money through a credit card account to a company like Playfish, whose website says, “You can now get Playfish Cash Cards in retail stores near you! Cash cards are exchanged for Playfish Cash that can be spent in all our supported games.”

So in the Newsweek article, “Money for Nothing,” writer Daniel Lyons discovered that the total U.S. market for virtual goods was over $1 billion in 2009—twice what it was the year before. Yes, we are spending, in these tough economic times, over $1 billion for something that doesn’t really exist!! Here’s a great lesson about 21st century America: People will spend real money for something that isn’t really there at all! Now I know it might be argued that this is just one way to spend entertainment dollars. Fine. But the larger lesson is this: What are we getting for our money? What is our investment yielding?

The Bible tells us the greatest investment we can ever make is in the Kingdom of God. Jesus told a parable about a master who entrusted money to his servants and how he expected them to invest his money wisely while he was away on a trip. Here’s part of the story:

After a long time their master returned from his trip and called them to give an account of how they had used his money. – Matthew 25:19

God has invested in you. He has given you money, abilities, property, cars, clothes, influence, friends, and he has considered you to be a good investment. Now he expects you to produce a return. Every human being will one day give an account of himself or herself to God. We will all have a final exam someday. God is going to ask: Did you follow my Son, Jesus? And another question will be this: What did you DO with what you were GIVEN?

Wise investments will outlast ourselves. This is why God says to invest in eternity. Now, like many of you, Leanna and I have seen some of our financial investments take a beating in the past couple of years. But you know, the thousands of dollars we have invested in eternity by giving to our church, and supporting missionaries; those investments haven’t lost a cent. In fact, those investments are compounding and growing, creating a treasure in heaven for us. Praise God!

I share all this because right now, like many other churches and non-profits, our giving is down considerably. We have some projects that are going undone. For example, we need to repair and sluice our parking lot. That is a big ticket item. We also need to repair and resurface our gym floor. There are some painting projects that need to be done. We are prioritizing our funds now for ministry and outreach, but these are becoming great needs that we cannot ignore forever. If you can bless your church with a special gift at this time it would be most appreciated. You can give to our general fund, which also needs help, or earmark the gift “PROJECTS” and we will begin making the needed improvements.

Thank you in advance for investing in the church of Jesus!

Here are a couple of quick announcements:

MEN’S BREAKFAST is this Saturday at 8:30 a.m. Angel Hernandez will be speaking and you know it’s the best darn breakfast in town! Invite a friend and come and hear an exciting testimony from one of our missionaries!

SPORTS CAMP is coming at the end of this month! It is a great outreach event as we have over 20 kids from our community participating. Sign up your kids for an awesome week this Sunday!

See you at Worship,

Dear Friends,

I’ve been out of town the last couple of weeks and I missed sending my regular email communication with you. Last Sunday we started our new series of studies entitled “Heroes by Faith.” The goal of this series is to inspire us to be heroic in our lives because of our faith. Faith can make heroes of us all! Here’s one example:

I recently read about A. N. Wilson’s exciting turnaround. He is a brilliant philosopher, and many hoped he would become the next C. S. Lewis, an intellectual champion for the Christian Faith. But as a young man, he began to question his faith. By his thirties, he had lost all religious belief and publicly repudiated his Christianity. He not only became an atheist, but he relished the role of a harsh critic not only of Christianity but of any faith in God at all. Wilson even wrote a book claiming Jesus was a failed messianic prophet (2004’s Jesus). But then, praise God, he experienced a major turnaround in his life. On the Saturday before Easter in 2009, he wrote a shocking article for London’s prestigious newspaper, The Daily Mail, in which he detailed his return to faith. It all began with his participation in a Palm Sunday service. He writes:

When I took part in the procession last Sunday and heard the Gospel being chanted, I assented to it with complete simplicity. My own return to faith has surprised no one more than myself. Why did I return to it? Partially, perhaps it is no more than the confidence I have gained with age. Rather than being cowed by them, I relish the notion that, by asserting a belief in the risen Christ, I am defying all the liberal clever-clogs on the block. …

But there is more to it than that. My belief has come about in large measure because of the lives and examples of people I have known—not the famous, not saints, but friends and relations who have lived, and faced death, in the light of the Resurrection story, or in the quiet acceptance that they have a future after they die. …

Sadly, [the secularists] have all but accepted that only stupid people actually believe in Christianity, and that the few intelligent people left in the churches are there only for the music or believe it all in some symbolic or contorted way which, when examined, turns out not to be belief after all. As a matter of fact, I am sure the opposite is the case and that materialist atheism is not merely an arid creed, but totally irrational.

Materialist atheism says we are just a collection of chemicals. It has no answer whatsoever to the question of how we should be capable of love or heroism or poetry if we are simply animated pieces of meat. The Resurrection, which proclaims that matter and spirit are mysteriously conjoined, is the ultimate key to who we are. It confronts us with an extraordinarily haunting story… Most of the greatest writers and thinkers of the past 1,500 years have believed it. But an even stronger argument is the way that Christian faith transforms individual lives—the lives of the men and women with whom you mingle on a daily basis, the man, woman, or child next to you in church tomorrow morning.

A.N. Wilson made a heroic turnaround in his life because of the heroic faith of ordinary men and women who lived out the blessed realities of being a follower of Jesus. Do you need a turnaround in your life? Do you know someone who does? This is one of the many great things faith can do for you! Please prioritize being a part of this series. This Sunday we’ll look at the first hero of faith in the Bible, a man named Abel. See you then!

Love in Jesus,

Pastor John

Dear Crosswalkers,

Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.

- Ephesians 1:4-5 (NLT)

In his book Invitation to a Journey, author M. Robert Mulholland Jr. tells the story of a woman he knew who was troubled by the fact that her birth was the result of an unwanted pregnancy. She agonized over the identity of her father. Who was he? What was he like? As a follower of Jesus, she had a hard time believing that God purposed her into being even before He made the world, as the verse above indicates. He writes:

Her mother was a prostitute, and she was the accidental byproduct of her mother’s occupation. Although her life’s pilgrimage had brought her to faith in Christ, blessed her with a deeply Christian husband and beautiful children, and given her a life of love and stability, she was obsessed with the need to find out who her father was. This obsession was affecting her marriage, her family, and her life. She told how one day she was standing at the kitchen sink, washing the dishes, with tears of anguish and frustration running down her face into the dishwater. In her agony she cried out, “Oh, God, who is my father?” Then, she said, she heard a voice saying to her, “I am your father.” The voice was so real she turned to see who had come into the kitchen, but there was no one there. Again the voice came, “I am your father, and I have always been your father.” In that moment she knew the profound reality of which Paul [speaks in the verse above]. She came to know that deeper than the “accident” of her conception was the eternal purpose of a loving God, who had spoken her forth into being before the foundation of the world.

What a story! God’s eternal Fatherhood lies behind the circumstances of your conception, birth, and life. This Sunday we will close out our Mythbusters series by looking at “Myths about God the Father.” Father’s Day is always a big day at Crosswalk! We will have a gift for all men in attendance, as well as a special gift for all Dads. Please invite the men in your life to church this Sunday!

Yours in Christ,

Pastor John

P.S. Men, let’s get Father’s Day started early! On Saturday we have our monthly Men’s breakfast (Steak and Eggs and more!) at 8:30 a.m., and then a softball game at Ortega Park after breakfast from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Then you can go home and watch the U.S. Open, or the World Cup, or just relax!

Dear Crosswalkers,

The World Cup of soccer (known to the rest of the world as football) begins on Friday, June 11, in South Africa. This is the first time the World Cup will be played on African soil. The venues are scattered over 10 stadiums in 9 cities. The projection is there will be 2.74 million spectators with a TV audience of some 40 billion people watching the 200 hours of soccer. This is truly a world event, in spite of the fact that it receives relatively minor attention in the United States.

This Sunday we will be challenged by our Lord’s teaching that his followers are “the light of the world.” For 2,000 years, followers of Jesus have tried to live up to this high calling to shine with the light of the Lord into the world’s darkness.

How are the believers in South Africa and the world of soccer shining with the light of Jesus? Well, in South Africa and beyond, Christian groups and churches have mobilized to take advantage of the opportunity to shine with the Lord’s light during the World Cup. The local organizing task force is called, “The Ultimate Goal” (TUG). I like that name! The coordinator of TUG is Tim Tucker, who says,“This is our time and our moment. Never again in our lifetime will we have this unique opportunity. We need to seize the moment. We have the message and the vehicle to deliver that message. If we don’t rise to the challenge it will be gone tomorrow.”

Many churches have planned special services, festivals, and soccer tournaments. All for the blessed purpose of sharing the good news. 140,000 packets of player profiles and testimonies, a full schedule of games and venues, and steps to faith in Christ have been prepared for distribution. Athletes in Action have produced a special DVD called, “The Prize” which features high profile Christian players such as Kaka, Lucio, Marcus Senna, Nicola Legrotalle and Tim Howard.

Brazilian Star Ricardo Kaka

One example stands out. Ricardo Kaka, known as Kaka, is a world class soccer player and plays for the Brazilian national team. He has also been diligent about sharing his faith and shining with the light of Jesus. He was reared in Brazil and had tremendous potential to be a world class soccer player. But then tragedy struck. At the age of 18, his future in soccer was brutally stopped by a career-threatening injury when he slipped at a swimming pool and fractured his back. Doctors said he would not only never again play soccer, but feared his injury could lead to paralysis. Fortunately for the footballer, Kaka miraculously recovered! Since then, out of a heart of gratitude to God, Kaka has been living for the Lord. He was married in 2007, and he and his wife shared that they honored God by remaining virgins until their wedding night. He is serious about his faith! He donates one tenth of his yearly salary to his Brazilian Church. He shares his faith! He is a sterling example of what Jesus meant when he looked at the his disciples and said “You are the light of the world.”

My hope is that God will energize us to take advantages of the many opportunities that come our way to do good in the name of Jesus and share with others the difference the Lord has made in our lives. This Sunday we will celebrate the wonderful proclamation that the Lord Jesus still makes to his followers today: “You are the light of the world!” In his name, I encourage us to shine!

See you Sunday,

Pastor John

P.S. Attention all men!! Our Father’s Day weekend breakfast is a week from this Saturday, on June 19. Not only is it the greatest breakfast of the year, but we also have a softball game after the breakfast at Ortega Park! Mark your calendars and invited a friend to join you for this fun event!!

Dear Friends,

In his book Led by the Carpenter, author James Kennedy writes this this scene:

A man walked into a little mom-and-pop grocery store and asked, “Do you sell salt?”

“Ha!” said Pop the proprietor. “Do we sell salt! Just look!” And Pop showed the customer one entire wall of shelves stocked with nothing but salt: Morton salt, iodized salt, kosher salt, sea salt, rock salt, garlic salt, seasoning salt, Epsom salts, every kind of salt imaginable.

“Wow!” said the customer.

“You think that’s something?” said Pop with a wave of his hand. “That’s nothing! Come look.” And Pop led the customer to a back room filled with shelves and bins and cartons and barrels and boxes of salt. “Do we sell salt!” he said.

“Unbelievable!” said the customer.

“You think that’s something?” said Pop. “Come! I’ll show you salt!” And Pop led the customer down some steps into a huge basement, five times as large as the previous room, filled wall, floor, to ceiling, with every imaginable form and size and shape of salt, even huge ten-pound salt licks for the cow pasture.

“Incredible!” said the customer. “You really do sell salt!”

“No!” said Pop. “That’s just the problem! We never sell salt! But that salt salesman, Hoo-boy! Does he sell salt!”

The point is this: Salt that stays on the shelf doesn’t do any good at all! Jesus called his disciples “the salt of the earth.” It’s an amazing statement. He is speaking to a small handful of peasants! He is saying, “You inconspicuous, insignificant people, you disciples of mine, you who will soon disown me one and all, you who will exhibit such little faith, you who will sleep when you should be watching and who will deny me when you should confess me, you who will falter in your walk with me… You, and you alone are the salt of the earth and the light of the world!”

Martin Luther made an interesting observation about salt. He said, in effect, the one thing you never do with salt is to salt salt! In other words, you salt food, you never put salt on salt! In the same way, he concluded, followers of Jesus are to be representing the Lord in their communities and in the world. Salt on the shelf does no good at all!

This weekend, Crosswalk church will be involved in our community. We will have a booth at Sunnyvale’s Art and Wine Festival, where we will bless children with balloons and face-painting, and share information regarding our church and school. Others will serve food and feed the homeless at the Refuge in Sunnyvale. The Journeymen from Crosswalk will lead worship, and our own Angel Hernandez will be sharing the good news. On top of those endeavors, we will honor God by worship this Sunday! Please pray for all our efforts to be salt and light to our community!!

This Sunday we will continue our Mythbusters series, and we will look at the charge leveled in recent times by the new atheists that Christianity in particular and religion in general has been a curse on the world and has done more harm than good. Friends, it is a myth! Lord willing, we will bust it open by our Lord’s teaching about being salt and light! I hope to see you at worship this Lord’s Day!!

Blessings,

Pastor John

Dear Crosswalkers,

“Out, damned spot!” Lady Macbeth famously said in Shakespeare’s tragedy as she tried to wash away her guilt about having participated in murder. For those of you who don’t know the story, it doesn’t work out so well for her as she dies, presumably by suicide, at the end of the play. Here’s an update: According to an article by a CNN health writer, new studies indicate that the act of washing hands can actually help people cleanse themselves of guilt and worries about the past, at least temporarily.

A study done in 2006 showed that washing hands can help people come to terms with their unethical behavior. Now a University of Michigan research team has conducted a new study. This study is based on the fact that the metaphor of cleansing outwardly is found across cultures as a way of dealing with the guilt we all feel inside. One researcher on the team that studied the effects of hand washing says, “When people have done bad things, they have sort of sins or traces or residuals from the past. By washing… the hands, there’s a sense of abstractly also washing away the past sins.” Although the study was very limited in scope, and the benefits of being cleansed of guilt were only temporary, the lead researcher still made this conclusion: “We should also expect physical washing to remove past concerns – concerns about past decisions, or past immoral behaviors, and that’s what we were able to show.”

Interestingly, the Bible deals with is issue as well. Holy Scripture agrees that the act of outward cleansing can serve as a physical reminder of the need we all have to be cleansed of our guilt. Ananias said this to Saul of Tarsus, after he met the rise Lord Jesus on the road to Damascus:

‘What are you waiting for? Get up and be baptized. Have your sins washed away by calling on the name of the Lord’ (Acts 22:16).

Later in the NT, we get the more complete explanation: …Baptism now saves you—not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 3:21 NASB).

Note this needed corrective to the recent studies. Temporary relief from guilt may come from the act of washing, because it is natural to associate outward cleansing with inward purity. But outward washing is of no lasting value in terms of forgiveness of our sins! That’s why Christian baptism is not merely an outward act, but an inward reality of appealing to God for for a clear conscience – not through our own goodness or even through an honored ritual, but through the resurrection of our Lord Jesus! We all, in a more literal manner than we care to admit, have a “damned spot” that we desperately need to get out of our life! Only our union with Jesus in his death for our sins and his resurrection for our justification can get rid of our guilt!

All this to say we will have a great day of worship this Sunday! We have baptisms to celebrate, which is always a joyful occasion! Praise God! Also we will be looking at the next Myth in our Mythbusters series, which is this: “Christianity is just a psychological crutch for weak and uneducated people. The church is for the dregs of society who are losers.” You may be shocked by the results of our study!! Invite some friends and come to church this Lord’s Day!

Affectionately in Christ,

Pastor John

Dear Crosswalkers,

The New Testament says this about life as a follower of Jesus: We live by faith, not by sight (2 Cor. 5:7). This is what makes the spiritual life such a great adventure! God’s plan for us is not spelled out every step of the way, like an itinerary for a road trip. But each day we get to follow the Lord in faith. How do we live by faith in the Lord in today’s world? Honestly, we have insurance to cover just about everything.

Here is an exciting way to live by faith: Participate in our Faith Promise Missions giving program. A Faith Promise is a financial commitment you believe and trust that God will enable you to fulfill during the next 12 months. A Faith Promise is not a pledge, and so you will never be asked by Crosswalk to “make good” on it. It is rather a promise you make in faith that God will provide additional funds for you to give in support his mission on planet earth. Here’s how it works: On Sunday you will be given a faith promise card. Please prayerfully enter an amount you will trust God to provide. And then watch and pray for God to provide. That is living by faith!

How does God provide? There are many possible ways! Here are just a few:

Unexpected Income: This can be retroactive pay raises, bonuses, unexpected gifts, inheritances, a second job, tax refunds, etc. The possibilities are endless!

Decrease in Expenses: Loans are paid off, kids educational expenses end, etc.

Reordering of Priorities: When we manage our lives according to God’s priorities, we can generate additional income for the Lord’s work. Examples include a commitment to live more simply, perhaps fasting one meal a week and giving that money to missions, cutting back on unnecessary expenses, etc.

Innovative Ideas: Some folks are really creative with this! You can have a garage sale, develop a hobby that can produce some income for the Lord’s work, get people to sponsor you in a marathon, etc. Again, the possibilities are endless!

Do Faith Promises work? YES! On the authority of the Bible, and according to my experience of many years of faith promise missions, I can tell you that God does provide! Why? Because God wants his world to be reached with the good news. Jesus said, “And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then, finally, the end will come” (Matthew 24:14). The Lord is looking for people like you and me who will be open channels through which he can provide for the gospel to be preached to every people group. This is God’s plan A, to reach the world through his church, and there is no plan B!

Here are the percentages of how much of our Faith Promises God has provided during the past 5 years:

2008/09 – 83%

2007/08 – 118%

2006/07 – 71%

2005/06 – 105%

2004/05 – 101%

Note that in the past 5 years, God has provided a high of 118% of our Faith Promises, and a low of 71%. This is the beauty of it: We are trusting God to provide. If God doesn’t provide, we don’t give. The pressure is on God, not us! But one of God’s names in the Bible is “The God who provides” (Genesis 22:14), and it shows how much God wants to provide for us. Speaking of which, we have one more week in our 09/10 Faith Promise year. To date we have received $81,185 in Faith Promise money, which is 66% of the promised amount, $122,846. I know these are tough times, but they are not tough for God!

Will you join me in prayer that God will provide more for this Sunday?

Emil Brunner said, “As fire exists by burning, so the church exists by missions.” May we ignite a wonderful new flame for the Lord as we continue the Faith Promise tradition at Crosswalk!

By the way, this Sunday we will celebrate our Faith Promise year with an International Potluck meal at noon. Please plan to join us for this celebration. And please bring an international dish to share! You can drop it off in our church kitchen prior to worship.

Living by Faith,

Dear Crosswalkers,

At some point, we will all put our trust in someone who fails us. Perhaps the most heartbreaking story out of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver was “exhibit A” of this truism. In the Olympic finals for the 10,000 meter speed skating race, the Netherlands’ Sven Kramer skated the 25 times around the rink so well that he set an Olympic record time of 12:54.50. He is a superstar in his sport. In fact, he finished a full 4 seconds ahead of the second place skater! The week before he had won gold in the 5,000 meter race. Now he had won a second Olympic gold medal! He was a national hero in a country that reveres speed skating!

But the joy was erased in a matter of moments. Kramer’s coach, Gerard Kemkers, a former Olympian himself, approached him after the race with devastating news. Kramer had been disqualified from the race, because with eight laps to go, he had improperly changed lanes. What was the reason for this unthinkable blunder? His coach had told him to change lanes! Kramer had never received lane-change directions from a coach in a race prior to that day. The only reason he did it was because his coach told him too. In a highly charged situation, Kramer trusted his coach instead of himself, and it cost him an Olympic gold medal.

Of course, the only one who felt worse than the skater was his coach. The coach said it was “the worst moment in my career… My world collapsed.”

Some of you know what it is like to have failed someone who put his or her trust in you. It hurts. Others are thinking of a time when someone you trusted failed you. Maybe it cost you your job, or your marriage, or a friendship. What do you do when you fail someone’s trust? What do you do when someone fails your trust and you pay the price? What happens to trust in a relationship after an expensive failure?

The next day Sven Kramer told the media that he had forgiven his coach, and they would continue working together. Kramer said, “The past few years have been too good. We have won so much together. You can’t just throw that away.”

Spiritually, we have all failed the trust God put in us. Yet when we turn to him in faith, he forgives us. We know that other people will let us down in this life. Humans will betray our trust. It is sad but true, and it is one of the deep hurts in life. But there is hope because there is One who will never break our trust, and his name is Jesus. He is faithful and true, and will always keep his promises.

Our theme for our Faith Promise Missions Series leading up to Easter this year is this: There is Love. For the next three weeks we will be celebrating missions and experiencing for ourselves that There is Love.

This Sunday please remember to “Spring Forward” by turning your clocks ahead one hour before you go to bed Saturday night!

Also this Sunday we are honored to have Marty Hooper speaking. Marty is a veteran missionary evangelist and he always brings a challenging and exciting message!

Love in Jesus,

Pastor John
